Title:

Kitchen Design Logo

Subtitle

Logo for a new kitchen and bath design company

Brand Name

Uptown K & B is the legal company name

Wants

A clean, elegant logo that will be used on the company web site, business cards, promotional products (aprons, tea towels, carving boards, etc,) product web sites, letterhead and anywhere else we need to display the logo. Please keep these size variations in mind when designing.
The logo should be as easily viewable on a smart phone as it is on a desktop. Classic fonts like Baskerville, Academy Engraved, Optima, Cochin, Papyrus are preferred over block or comic fonts.
Abstract graphics, text based logos, etc are fine. A simple outline of a generic skyline, cityscape, bridge, etc would fit with the company name but isn't mandatory.
White or LIGHT background. 3 colours max.
Output should be three variant sets:
1) SVG and jpeg (on light background)
2)SVG and jpeg (on dark background)
3)SVG and jpeg (transparent)

Don't Wants

NO heavy, bulky lettering, too dark or solid backgrounds, too crowded or too small graphics. Logo must not be in use by any other entity, NOT DOWNLOADED FROM THE WEB because anyone, including me, can do that for free and then my logo would not be original. NO mixed fonts, one font only please. NO variation of the company name and it must be clearly visible and communicated.

About Us

After several years designing kitchens and baths in the big box stores I've left to try to make my own way in the world as Uptown K & B. My clients are typically working professionals and contractors 35-70 years of age and have owned at least one home. Referral business has and will continue to be important to my success. Personally I'm a Rooster Virgo mix of cheek, sass and serious. The existing website is www.uptownkb.com which will be modified with the winning logo. The winning designer will also be given full credit and the option of a link on my webpage.
