Logo Contest

Leading online ink and toner supplier

We sell ink. We'd like to look like it. We need pizazz.

Wants

Take our current logo and possibly keep the font either the same or close – we like the round letters. Our emphasis is obviously on the 4 because it is critical to our brand, plus the four C-M-Y-K colors in the logo mark. We'd like to keep our 4 colors, but we need them to look glossy, polished, even wet...like wet ink. And probably a little 3Dish. Floating with a slight oval drop shadow might even look kind of nice. We really like our competition’s logos, Ink*Grabber and Simply*Ink in particular.

We used a circle because it was closer to a round drop of ink rather than keep a square. The circle with the 4 quadrants also creates a subliminal “cross-hairs” similar to that found in a registration (reg) mark which is commonly used in the print industry.

Besides a new revised polished 4-color logo, we should have a 2d version, a 2-color version, plus reversed versions for dark backgrounds. Also offer a horizontal and vertical version if applicable (see Carrot*Ink in our attached doc). Extra bonus for an icon set around the “4”. See our attached document for an example of our own logo progress and logs that inspire us.

The winner must provide artwork in either a cross-platform Adobe Illustrator file or Freehand file, plus relevant fonts. We must be able to open, and possibly made modifications on our end.

Don't Wants

Try to avoid looking like everyone else in the industry. There's lot of drips and splats out there.
