Title:

Clear Retirement Advice

Wants

Since the target market is generally between 55 and 80, the design needs to be conservative. Most likely, a text/font-based logo using the full name "Clear Retirement Advice" will work--examples are at www.goldmansachs.com and www.americanexpress.com, although these may almost be too conservative and old-school. The word "Clear" should be emphasized more than the others, and if it can be actually be literally clear/transparent somehow, that would be ideal. The overall design needs to be simple (again, fitting with the word clear). Ideally, there is some concept of transparency, or "looking through" something. Also, the primary color of the brand is light blue--specifically a clear sky blue or a clear light blue ocean you might see around a Caribbean or Hawaiian island beach. I will also need a monochrome version. Pre-fabricated royalty-free clip art is okay in the design (I want designers to have freedom to use whatever tools they have available to them), however, originality that is also conservative and simple is ideal.

Don't Wants

Complexity won't work. Also, overly creative/cute/tech-startup-like design won't work. A bit of creativity is desirable. However if the logo has a mailchimp face--that's not going to create the solid impression we need for these retired clients and their hard-earned money they trust us to give them advice about. Also, arrows and images that imply stock charts moving upward won't work. Also initials and acronyms won't work. Please stick to the words Clear Retirement Advice, with extra emphasis on Clear, and possibly include another image or design feature, but no other letters. Thanks!
