Logo Contest

La Maquina

Wants

The current design for the team is attached as a sample image, we're looking for a complete redo on this. The main element we like about this design is that the graphic incorporates all 3 of the sports into it. I won't say that's a must-have, but it's a strong preference.

Team members wear the current logo on a team uniform, centered on the front of the uniform. Preliminary thoughts for the new team uniform will use red (PMS 1797 C) and black as primary colors. The new logo would need to have a version that could go on both a white and a black/dark background color.

Aesthetically, I would love for the design to be relatively clean and simple, while still incorporating the three main elements of swim, bike run. Orientation could be portrait like the current, or could be more landscape, understanding that when placed on apparel it needs to fit across the chest.

Couple of ideas that would be interesting to get interpretations on:
Since the translation of our club name is "the machine," it would be interesting to see a design that played off of the mechanical parts of a bike (image included), or any big industrial looking graphics. Another idea would be to do a lock-up of the "L" and "M," with the full name below it.

Final Outputs needed: full-color version (on white ground), secondary version to use if placed on a black background. Need JPEG, AI, and EPS file formats.

Don't Wants

On the current team logo, the latin phrase at the bottom and the "TC" at the end of it should not be included.

About Us

This is a logo a local triathlon. It will be eventually put on race suits and other workout apparel. A triathlon (just in case) is a swim, bike and run event that participants do consecutively.
