Although I want it a more modern design depicting a fun personality, I don't want it to be too complicated or radical.  The shop is located in a small NC community with a target audience of mothers, children and elderly. I don't want it to be too childlike but at the same time the image and name recognizable and readable by children and the elderly.  (My stab at a design is attached - needs to look more professional - help!)
