Logo Contest

Fried Stuff with Cheese

Subtitle

Original, cartoon-y logo design for friedstuffwithcheese.com

Wants

While thinking about the design we quickly realized that we couldn't think of a food or meal that would immediately make you think of "Fried Stuff with Cheese".

The original logo (included as a "Sample Image") was just the name of the site with a nacho cheese "snow" effect on the letters. That was fine for a while but we have always wanted some sort of image to go with the words. We recently changed the design of the site and we don't really want the old logo.

Some ideas we had:
1. Incorporate a deep-fryer into the logo somehow. A friend of a friend made the logo for eatpgh.com. Not sure how that would work though.
2. French fries with cheese like Outback Steakhouse's Aussie Fries. Again, not sure how to incorporate the words with the food.
3. If it's not possible to incorporate an image into the words we would accept a re-design of the original logo with "fried" lettering and a cheese effect on top or maybe french fries (steak fries) as the letters with cheese/bacon bits on top. We've tried this ourselves but it seems to make the name very difficult to read. Maybe you'll have more luck.

Requirements:
* Logo should be around 375px wide by 60px tall to fit the site though I can fiddle with the CSS to make it as large as 390px by 100px. Maybe even longer if I change the navigation options a bit.
* Logo should have a transparent background and look good on white backgrounds
* Logo should include the name of the site (Fried Stuff with Cheese) though we would consider the initials of the site in all capital letters (FSWC)
* The word "with" should be lower case if spelled out
* The logo should make you feel like eating fattening comfort food but not look disgusting or repulsive
* Logo format (in order of preference) should be AI (Illustrator), PSD (Photoshop) or PNG (Fireworks) in CS4 compatibility mode.

Optional:
We keep changing the tagline but we like the current one: "Enjoy responsibly." You can include it if you want but I would make it a layer in the file.

Colors:
Up to you. The site has recently been re-designed and has a clean white background to give the colorful food the focus and make it "pop". As mentioned in the requirements the logo should make you crave your favorite burger place.

About Us

Fried Stuff with Cheese is a tonque-in-cheek look at the fattening food we eat. The site is similar to the now defunct ThisIsWhyYoureFat.com (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_is_why_you%27re_fat). A group of coworkers started the site as a joke and posted pictures of stuff we ate or funny stories around the Internet related to food and wanton excess. We only recently found the "Friend's" video of Monica and Joey coming up with the term. The video is currently on our home page if you want to check it out. The long-term goal is to make t-shirts, mugs, etc with the logo on it as well.
