  • What are design contests?
A design contest is a requirement posted by a contest holder, which gives designers a brief description of work that they need done. Professional designers then create designs to meet the need of the contest holder. Throughout the contest, the contest holder can provide feedback to help designers improve or change their designs. At the completion of the contest, the contest holder picks a winner and the prize money is awarded.
  • How does a contest work?
    1. Contest holders post a brief summary of the graphic design work they need.
    2. They choose a budget they are willing to spend at completion.
    3. Professional designers from all over the world submit top quality design concepts.
    4. The contest holder provides feedback to the designers throughout the contest.
    5. A winner is chosen and the prize money is transferred to the designer of choice.
    6. The contest holder has 14 days from the end of the contest to choose a winner. If no winner is chosen by 14 days, LogoBids.com reserves the right to use the funds to launch another contest.
    7. Once payment is made, all rights to the winning design are transferred from the designer to the contest holder.
  • How much does it cost?

$19.99 + the prize money offered. Any upgrades you decide you want to apply will require an additional fee. At the end of the contest you will need to chose a design and the prize money will be awarded to the designer.

You may also choose to run a 1 day, 7 day, 10 day, 15 day or 30 day contest which have a fee associated with it, plus any upgrades you want to apply. All fees are non-refundable. Note that to increase the quality of your contest, you should plan to provide feedback early and often.

Designers don't have to pay to participate in a contest — registration is free.

  • Is this crowdsourcing?
No. Crowdsourcing is the term used when a company hires a mass amount of people to work together to solve a problem the company has. As a group they come up with a solution, it is not an individual effort. Here at Logo Bids each designer is independent of the other and is competing for the business from the contest holder.
  • Can I sign up for free?
Yes. Whether you are a designer or a contest holder, signing up is easy and free! View the registration page and take a minute of your time to sign up.
  • Can I have multiple accounts?
In order to make the process more efficient and easier for both the designer and contest holder, we do not allow multiple accounts.
  • How do I change my password?
You can change your password by going to the "My Account" tab, and then look under "Edit Profile".

Contest Holders

  • How do I start a contest?
You will first have to sign up for a free account. Then visit the Start a Contest link and you are on your way to acquiring your new design.
  • How long can I run a contest for?
You can run a contest from 1 day up to 30 days. If you are not in a hurry, you may choose to run your contest for 30 days in order to get more exposure for your design contest and receive more design concepts. If you need a design immediately, you may choose to run your contest for 1 day and have your results within 24 hours. You can choose to upgrade your contest at the time you post it.
  • Do I have to leave feedback?
Feedback is necessary in order to ensure that all of the designers have a good idea of what you are looking for. Your feedback provides them direction and helps you get a better design. Contest holders have to provide feedback to every designer who participates in their contest.
  • What is a Prize?
A Prize is your budget for this particular contest. It is the final amount you are willing to pay the winning designer at the conclusion of the contest. There are minimum prizes for each contest category, but remember; the bigger the prize amount, the more designs you will likely get and of a better quality.
  • What is a design brief?
A design brief is a description of what you want your design to look like, or simply put – your vision. We know you are not a designer, but it is your idea so we need a roadmap to create the perfect design for you. Designers look to the brief to guide them towards creating your final product and making the contest a complete success.
  • Does my design brief have to be long?
The longer and more descriptive the design brief is, the better the process will go for you and the designers. The more information you can provided them, the better an idea they have to help them create the best design for you. If you need help, contact us and we will guide you through the process.
  • Can I make changes after I submit my contest?
Yes. You can edit your already running contest at any time. Once your contest has a design entry you will not be able to lower your prize amount, but you can increase it in order to improve your results. You can make changes in the “My Account” portion of your profile.
  • What amount should I award as the prize money?
This is an important choice. There are minimums for each contest that will give you a starting point. However, the higher the prize the generally the more successful the contest will be and higher amount of individual designs you will receive. See what other contest holders are offering and their results and base your amount on what you see is working best. Or simply offer the amount that you have set as your budget for the project. You can always increase the amount after the contest begins.
